About Dean Paterakis
Dean is a hard-working and independent-thinking individual. Dean has been in Melbourne for over thirty years since being stationed at Patrick AFB while serving in the United States Air Force.
Dean supports focusing Melbourne on the necessary functions of government. This means the city staying out of real estate and hotel deals and instead getting our roads maintained, taking care of existing parks, and allowing businesses to operate without excessive government interference.
Military Experience
Dean served for just under 10 years in the United States Air Force. From 1990 to 1998 he was stationed at the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) at Patrick AFB. Dean worked as a Scientific Measurements Technician with the mission of monitoring signatory countries’ compliance with the 1963 Limited Test Ban Treaty. While serving Dean achieved his Associate of Science degree from the Community College of the Air Force.

United States Air Force awards and medals including the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Airman of the Quarter-Air Force Technical Center, Longevity Service Award, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal with 2 devices.
